If any sci-fi movie from the 70s needs to be remade, it's this one. Kind of dated now, I still enjoy popping it in once in awhile. Logan's Run is basically about a dystopian society that kills everyone when they reach their 30th birthday. Instead of killing them outright, they make a game of it and the whole city comes out to watch. They even have special police to track down anyone trying to escape their fate when their time comes. The movie had a few flaws, like it never explained who was running the city. The action of course is dated. That's why I'm saying a remake should be made. However, knowing how today's directors are, they'll probably turn it into a stupid action flick instead of keeping the political statement. Seven hearts out of 10. Bonus if you're into sci-fi or movies with political statements. |
