Of all the bands ever, I think Guns and Roses is the biggest waste of all-time. This band had so much talent, and they squandered it. Axl Rose has a tremendous amount of charisma and a beautiful voice. Slash was the last Guitar God. Izzy wrote some killer tunes. Duff's a cool bassist. Both Steven Adler and Matt Sorum are competent drummers.

Where did they go wrong? Quite simply, Axl Rose is a dick. I couldn't work with him either.

The band I used to roadie for met GnR on numerous occasions. Each time was the same. Izzy was to himself, Duff and Steven are cool as hell. Axl's either hitting on some chick or being a prick. And Slash is, well, actually he's pretty cool too. Or so I've heard.

I never did the whole L.A. scene though. I was up in San Francisco and Houston trying to get my band going. We were latecomers to the Bay Area Thrash scene, and by the time we had material that was good enough to record, the scene was over and all the record companies wanted that "Seattle" sound. Fuck Seattle. That place sucks, the women are ugly, and they got shitty music. Anyways, that's besides the point.

Live Like a Fucking Suicide - a few covers, a few originals. I think I've only heard it once or twice, but if you find a copy of this, buy it immediately, not to listen to, but to resell to some jackass who will pay $50 for it on Ebay.

Appetite for Destruction is simply one of the best albums ever. I've always called it a metal album, but you could call it anything you like. I don't care. Every song on the album could have been a single. Geez, half of the songs were.

That time period was fun. I even got called "Slice" by some stupid kid who wanted my autograph. Slice. Nice. Stupid kid. It's Slash. And no, I'm not Slash.

Ten dead zombies.

GnR Lies - An EP. The good - there's a nekkid lady on the insert. The bad - the songs. Put those acoustic guitars away and play some good music.

Use Your Illusion I & II - With Izzy on his way out of the band, I had a feeling these albums wouldn't be any good. I was right. Out of both albums, there were probably only three or four good songs.

The Spaghetti Incident - What is this crap? Another Guns and Roses album? No, it's a bunch of covers done by Guns and Roses of songs that weren't that good to begin with.

Chinese Democracy - So...Axl Rose owns the name Guns and Roses. No Izzy to be found. No Slash. No Duff. I'm not even going to bother. If someone wants me to review it, buy me a copy when it comes out and I'll listen to it. Don't expect me to like it though. If I do, it would be a pleasant surprise. Just don't expect it.
